Apprentice Tile Finisher
A tile Apprentice Finisher works with tile setters and site leaders, to assist him/her in product installations. Position levels 1-4 are experience and competency based. We will train the right candidate who is motivated, reliable and eager to learn the tile trade.
Qualified candidates must have:
Ability to follow directions
Ability to progress and gain knowledge
Organization skills
Communication skills, verbal and written
Problem-solving skills
Strong mathematical skills
Ability to lift 95 lbs. unassisted
Willingness to clean jobsite, tools, etc
Reliability is a must (must have reliable transportation and drivers license)
Apprentice Tile Setter
A tile Apprentice Setter works with foreman/site lead to assist him/her in the installation of hard goods/tile.
Qualified candidates must have:
Communication skills, verbal and written
Ability to independently work at an Intermediate level
Ability to execute tasks under tight time constraints
Strong mathematical skills
Ability to lift 95 lbs. unassisted
Strong reliability
Completed Apprentice Finisher course or equivalent
Journeyman Tile Setter
A Journeyman leads the installation of hard goods, and project requirements within schedule.
Qualified candidates must have:
Ability to mentor and guide others
Ability to work independently and lead team assignments
Ability to work on multiple tasks and function under time constraints
Organization skills and self-motivation
Extensive tile knowledge
Ability to work safely
Time management skills
Knowledge of products
Ability to train and mentor
Tile apprentice program completion
CTI (Certified Tile Installer) preferred - willing and able to take the Certified Tile Installer test once employed.
Master Tile Craftsman
A Master Setter is responsible for assigned work, production area, project leadership and meeting quality standards along with project schedules.
Qualified candidates must have:
Skills as a master tile installer and site leader in hard goods

Ability to promote positive team attitudes

Truck Driver / Warehouse Support
Welch Tile is looking for a dependable, safety-minded Truck Driver / Warehouse Support team member to help keep our projects moving.
The primary focus of this position is picking up and delivering tile, materials, tools, and equipment to jobsites and vendors. When not on the road, this position will support daily warehouse operations, including receiving, organizing, staging, loading, and unloading materials and equipment.
What You'll Do
Safely operate company trucks and vehicles, with start times as early as 6:00 a.m.
Pick up and deliver materials, tools, and equipment to jobsites and vendors.
Load, unload, verify, and properly secure materials for transportation.
Coordinate daily pickups and deliveries with our Purchasing Manager.
Maintain delivery paperwork and communicate delays, shortages, damage, or other issues.
Perform applicable pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections.
Help receive, organize, and stage materials for upcoming projects.
Assist with inventory and tool/equipment tracking.
Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment when trained and authorized.
Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and yard.
What We're Looking For
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
CDL preferred, but not required.
DOT medical card preferred, but not required.
Driving, delivery, warehouse, construction, or material-handling experience preferred.
Forklift experience.
Dependable, punctual, organized, and safety-minded.
Comfortable working independently and adapting to changing daily schedules.
Able to safely load, unload, lift, and move construction materials, tools, and equipment.
Willing to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Comfort with utilizing technology - Daily use of: Office 365 - Outlook, Calendar and Hilti software
We're looking for someone who sees what needs to be done and helps get it done. Our warehouse supports multiple construction projects at the same time, so priorities can change throughout the day. The right person will be comfortable staying organized, communicating with the team, and jumping between receiving material, pulling orders, making a delivery, counting inventory, or helping prepare for the next day's work.
This position works closely with our Purchasing & Logistics Manager, warehouse team, project managers, and field team to keep material, tools, and equipment moving where they need to go.
